Abstract: The voltage source inverter is widely used in UPS, the new energy power generation and many other applications. Low THD and rapid system response under all kinds of loads, especially under nonlinear load are required. A new deadbeat control method was proposed according to the discrete state equation of single-phase inverter system, two feed-forward loops were added and a state observer was designed in order to eliminate the delay of sampling and calculation and to improve the system dynamic response. A simulation model of single-phase inverter was constructed in the MATLAB/Simulink environment. The simulation results show that the new control strategy can obviously improve the system dynamic response and reduce the output voltage THD under nonlinear load.
