With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile terminals, the concept of edge computing arises. By moving the computation and storage capacity to the edge of network, edge computing is able to deal with a large amount of data produced by IoT devices and the responsive request from IoT application. To improve the utility of edge resource, the quality of service and quality of user experience, resource allocation and task scheduling optimization problems under edge computing attract wide attention. It becomes more difficult due to the geographic separated and heterogeneous features of edge computing resource as well as the requirements of performance, energy consumption, cost and stability and introduces the system models of edge computing, IoT and cloud computing, presents the optimization metrics, scheduling models and solution optimization, including exact algorithms, heuristic methods and intelligent optimization algorithms. In addition, typical application cases, and points out the further research contents and directions are provided to promote the development of edge computing.

The development and evolution of modeling and simulation technology, and its importance in scientific and technological progress are briefly reviewed. The intrinsic relation between digital twin and modeling and simulation is revealed by analyzing the background and concept of digital twin. The way to build and evaluate a digital twin based on modeling and simulation theoretical methods is discussed. to ensure the credibility.

The future direction of wargaming system is intelligent, and the most significant feature of intelligence is the modeling of cognition.
The main problems of wargaming system are summarized, the main difficulties of modeling brought by cognition and the overall framework of intelligent wargaming system design are discussed, the technical ways of transformation and upgrading based on the existing wargaming system are given from four aspects of model construction, system design, wargaming ecology and test inspection
. It provides direction and reference to the development and construction of the next generation intelligent wargaming system.

Strategic wargame is an important support to the strategic decision. The research status and challenges of the strategic wargame are analyzed, and the influence of big data and artificial intelligence technology on the strategic wargame system is studied.
The prospects and key technologies of the next-generation strategic wargame system are studied, including the construction of event association graph for strategic topics, generation of strategic decision sparse samples based on generative adversarial nets, gaming strategy learning of human-in-loop hybrid enhancement, and public opinion dissemination modeling technology based on social network.
The development trend of the strategic wargame is proposed.

Aiming at the more and more complex war systems, widely used artificial intelligence technology is needed to make up the human deficiencies in future wargame deduction, which is necessary for the next generation wargame system model engine. To address these challenges,
a framework prototype of the next generation wargame model engine based on the experience of the long-term development and application is proposed. The decoupling method for the complexity of structure and computation is researched. The human-computer integration architecture on digital twinning technology is studied. Some new modeling techniques which the threshold of model development is reduced and the efficiency is improved are explored. The engine mechanism is provided to support the machine learning, and to achieve the integrated design for distributed hardware environment.

The demand for real-time collision detection is increasing in different applications. Exploiting the parallel computing capability of multi-core CPUs and GPUs to accelerate the speed of collision detection algorithms has attracted abroad attention. This paper reviews the development history of collision detection algorithms and classified the existing algorithms from multiple perspectives. Moreover,
we analyze the strengths and weaknesses of more than ten representative parallel collision detection algorithms based on multi-core CPUs and GPUs from the aspects of the scalability, memory consumption and workload balancing. Finally, the problem of present parallel collision detection research and potential direction of following research and some representative benchmark data sets are presented.

As one of the most important areas of research in the domain of computer vision and intelligent tranffic, pedestrian detection has attacted extensive interest from the research community in recent years. Because the detection based on statistical classification method is efficient, it has been widely applied. Pedestrian detection method was focused based on statistical classification.
Standard dataset for evaluation of human detection was reviewed, studying the statistics about these dataset.
Extracted features and the improvement on them were summarized. The main classifier for pedestrian detection was summarized. The present problems and future research trends in pedestrian detection were proposed.

Economic prosperity, national security and society well-being have long depended on the important services that some critical infrastructures are provided. The safety of the critical infrastructures is vital for the normal operation of the country.
On the basis of research on the connotation of critical infrastructure to different nation in different historical period, the definition, classification and model of interdependencies among critical infrastructures were analyzed. The principal modeling and simulation techniques of critical infrastructure and their merits and drawbacks were summarized. The significant protection projection s and tools were analyzed and researched
. Depending on all above studies, knowing and understanding of the complexity and interdependency of the critical infrastructures can be enhanced. The research can also direct the development of effective modeling and simulation tools, implement impactful protection plan, and deal with increasing external threat more profitably.

Plant modeling and animation synthesis was widely used in many fields, such as virtual plant, 3D animation, games and so on. The techniques of plant modeling and animation synthesis were reviewed. Plant modeling techniques were discussed in three aspects: fractal and L system approach, imaged-based methods, methods based on three-dimensional measurement data. Plant animation synthesis techniques were analyzed in four aspects: physically-based animation, procedural animation, video-based animation and data-driven animation. Furthermore, some issues in future research were addressed, and further trends and research directions were discussed.
