Research on fluid dynamics simulation of welding pool based on SPH method

Abstract: In the development of virtual welding training equipment, real-time interactive simulation of weld forming is the key technology. The current simulation method of weld formation is studied in this pape..For the problem of long time computation and no sense of fluid motion in weld simulation process, a simulation method of weld forming simulation based on smooth particle hydrodynamics is proposed. This method includes the calculation of temperature field which can calculate the fluid particle temperature and modify the updating step of fluid particles according to the temperature of fluid particles. This can realize the transformation of fluid particles from moving state to stationary state, and simulate the process of solidification of molten pool in welding process.
