Research on Dynamic Characteristics of Hypersonic Vehicle Based on Large Scale Parallel Simulation

Abstract: Based on the three predominant algorithms (Implicitly Restarted Krylov-Schur Method and Jacobi-Davidson Method ) and The PANDA Framework, a large-scale parallel computing system for modal analysis was established. The finite element model of typical wave-rider hypersonic vehicle was established and its dynamic characteristics were investigated. The numerical analysis reaches scale of 14,000,000 Degree of Freedoms (DOFs), and the number of MPI Cores is 1024. What's more, the difference of first 100 orders natural frequencies between PANDA and well known commercial software ANSYS is less than 0.01%, and mode shapes are absolutely the same, the efficiency of 1024 cores is 60 times faster than 16 cores, which means PANDA is very accurate and efficient, lower order dynamic response characteristics of hypersonic vehicle is obtained at the same time.
