Simulation Analysis of Load Characteristic of Thin Seam Shearer Drum

Abstract: In order to analysis the load characteristics of thin seam shearer drum under complex geological conditions, the determination conditions of tooth working state were proposed, the drum load calculation scheme was designed according to the condition of coal seam and the working state of shearer. A thin seam shearer drum as the object of research, the load spectrums of drum under five typical working conditions were calculated, the law of cutting resistance moment and cutting power with different drum revolution speed and haulage speed was analyzed. The results show that: the load fluctuation from cutting hard inclusions is significantly higher than other four conditions. Variation range of load torque respect to the change of haulage speed diminishes with the increase of drum revolution speed, cutting power along the drum revolution speed and haulage speed increases rising in both directions.
