Adaptive Traffic Signal Timing Model on Polling System and Simulation Study

摘要: 当轮询系统用于交通信号控制时,采用完全服务策略会造成车流高饱和度时绿灯长时间保持在某一相位,导致其它相位的车辆无法通过路口,而在饱和度较低时使信号灯频繁切换。为此,提出自适应双门限完全服务控制策略,该控制策略一方面基于完全服务规则根据车流量动态设定绿灯配时保证通行效率,另一方面,根据实际道路情况设置每个相位的绿灯时间上、下限时间以保证各相位间的公平性和混合交通环境下行人等非机动车通行者的需求;基于时间限定完全服务轮询模型,采用马尔科夫链和概率母函数的方法分析了车辆平均排队队长并给出绿灯配时方案;通过仿真实验结果验证了本方法的有效性。

Abstract: A road traffic signal timing system could be corresponds to a polling model. For a queue with a large number of vehicles, under the exhaustive service, the corresponding traffic light will state on green for a long time to empty the queue, vise engender frequent switchover. Motivated by this problem, the timing strategy with minimum and maximum green times for each phase was proposed, which was modeled as a time limited polling system, and then the average queue length at the beginning of green period was analyzed to calculate the green times by the Markova chain and Generation Function method. The effectiveness of the proposed methods was verified by the simulation.
