触觉再现的分层电磁式盲文点显器

Layered Electro-magnetic RefreshableBraille Display with Haptic Rendering

摘要: 盲文点显器是触觉再现研究的重要应用。研发了一种分层电磁式盲文点显器的原型样机,包括机械本体和控制系统两部分,可以动态显示20方盲文。创新设计出分层且错位布置的盲文触点驱动机构,机械本体实现了120个盲文触点的空间排布;通过控制电磁线圈的通断电,控制系统驱动盲文触点独立上下运动,动态组合出不同的盲文字符。此原型样机体积小、成本低、刷新频率高,可生成足够的支撑力,供指尖触觉阅读盲文。

Abstract: Refreshable braille display is an important application of haptic rendering in virtual reality.Aprototype of a layered electro-magnetic refreshablebraille displaywas developed, which has complex mechanical structures and a control system, and coulddynamical display of20braille words. By designing the layered and dislocatedbraille driving mechanism, this refreshablebraille displayrealizedthe arrangement of 120 braille points. By switchingthe current of the electromagnetic coils, the control system of this refreshablebraille displayrealizedthe movement control of these braille points. This prototype has the advantages of small volume, low cost, high refresh rate, and can generate enough supporting forcefor fingertip haptic reading braille.
