Doppler Ultrasound Blood Flow Signal Simulation of Aneurysm Based on Analytical Velocity Distribution

摘要: 提出一种基于解析速度分布的动脉瘤超声多普勒血流信号仿真方法。根据动脉瘤上游均匀段中心轴向脉动血流速度,解析求解血流动量及质量守恒线性化Navier-Stokes方程,获得不同病变程度动脉瘤血管内血流速度剖面;使用总体分布的非参数估计获得病变血管内血流功率谱密度;通过累加余弦信号仿真超声多普勒脉动血流信号。该模型仿真的动脉瘤超声多普勒血流信号与临床采集的实际信号具有相同特征,可用于动脉瘤疾病发生及发展的超声多普勒检测研究。

Abstract: For simulating the Doppler ultrasound blood flow signals in the vessels with aneurysms at different stages of development, this paper presents a simulation model in which the Doppler ultrasound blood flow signals are obtained by employing cosine-superposed constituents which are modulated by a power spectral density (PSD) estimated from velocity profile calculated by analytically solving the Navier-Stokes equations according to the axis-centerline velocity at the upstream faraway segment of the aneurysms. In the experiments, the Doppler ultrasound blood flow signals in the normal vessels and vessels with aneurysms having different dilations are generated, respectively. The simulated Doppler ultrasound blood flow signals in the aneurysms have characteristics similar to those found in practice, and could be used as the detection algorithms for the occurrence and development of aneurysms disease.
