WSN Clustering Routing Protocol for Bridge Structure Health Monitoring

摘要: 在桥梁结构健康监测(bridge structure health monitoring,BSHM)的特定应用场合中,只根据节点地理位置进行成簇或使用单跳策略完成簇间路由,都会导致整个无线传感器网络(wireless sensor networks,WSN)的不稳定。针对BSHM下的WSN,提出“能量分布”的概念,设计了一种能量均衡分簇路由协议(energy balance protocol,EBP)。通过二次分簇,使WSN中的高能量区域承担更多的能量消耗,设计基于区域划分的多跳策略以控制转发跳数。仿真结果表明:在BSHM的场景中,EBP与LEACH(low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy),SEP(stable election protocol)相比,其生命周期和能量消耗方面均有显著的正向提升。

Abstract: In the specific application of bridge structure health monitoring (BSHM), clustering based only on the geographic location of nodes or using a single-hop strategy to complete inter-cluster routing may cause the unstability of the entire wireless sensor networks(WSN). For WSN in BSHM scenario, the concept of "energy distribution" is proposed, and an energy balance clustering routing protocol energy balance protocol(EBP) is designed. The second clustering, the high-energy areas in WSN bear more energy consumption, and a multi hop strategy based on region division is designed to control the number of forwarding hops. The simulation results show that, compared with low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy(LEACH) and stable election protocol(SEP), EBP has a significant positive improvement in the life cycle and energy consumption in BSHM scenario.
